THE ALUMNI COLLEGE PROGRAM’S OPENING ACADEMIC CEREMONY FOR THE 2017/2018 SCHOOL YEAR
Held in the University of Navarra’s Grand Hall in the Central Building, the inaugural academic ceremony of the Alumni College Program was held on September 26th. Students from all residents were in attendance.
The ceremony began at 19:30h with a recitation by Goroabe Residence’s student government President Camila Angulo Canales of the Alumni College Program activities conducted the previous year.
Later, Katyna Sada, student government President of Jaizkibel Residence in San Sebastián, introduced Professor D. Ricardo Piñero Moral. His master lesson, titled “Reasons to dream”, offered advice to residents on how to maximize their time in university. “Freedom is something we all value. The University of Navarra is a very special place, because here we can exercise our freedom. We must always support the truth although at times it is painful. Still, this is an incredible place to study, and I encourage you to keep dreaming and striving to make this world a better place” he said.
María Iraburu Elizalde, Vice-Rector of Professors of the University of Navarra, gave the closing remarks to mark the start of the Alumni College Program’s 2017/2018 year.
