RETHINKING THE FUTURE: OPENING OF FORUN 2018
Vicente Muñoz, Chief IoT of Grupo Telefónica, was tasked with giving the opening presentation of FORUN CONGRESS 2018 on October 10th in the Amigos Building of the University of Navarra. The event was attended by more than 200 students and professors. The presentation, titled Welcome to re-evoluIoTn, was introduced by Ignacio Ferrero, Head of the Economics Faculty.
Muñoz implored the audience to think about the changes provoked by new technologies such as the internet and mobile phones. The manager of Telefónica recognized the advantages of living in a technological world, but also encouraged attendees to not disregard values such as respect or education which are equally fundamental in achieving societal progress.
Begun in 1968, FORUN (Foro Universidad de Navarra) is an annual congress organized for students, by students. FORUN provides a space for students and professors to reflect on and discuss a variety of modern-day issues, as well as propose possible solutions.
