PEDRO MANSILLA, FOREFRONT OF THE FIRST SESSION OF THE RESIDENT-ORGANIZED FASHION SERIES “COPYRIGHT”
Thursday February 1st marked the beginning of the fashion series Copyright organized by residences Goimendi and Goroabe. The well-attended event took place in Room 1 of the University of Navarre’s Institute of Culture and Society.
The session was led by Pedro Mansilla, a sociologist, journalist and fashion critic, whose presentation was “What do we mean when we talk about fashion?”. He spoke about what fashion is, his vision of fashion and why fashion fascinates us as a society. “Jeans have achieved what nothing else has done: to be used indifferently by all social classes,” said Mansilla. “Fashion fascinates us. We don’t very well know why, but fashion is of interest to all of us.” The presentation ended with a Q&A session with the audience.
Thank you Pedro for giving us an interesting lecture on the world of fashion from a sociological point of view!
