VOLUNTEERING IN ROMANIA
July 18th marked the end of an Alumni College Program volunteering trip to Romania. This incredible experience lasted 20 days, during which volunteers were lucky enough to get to know the country and its culture as well as wonderful people.
The volunteering projects were divided between three different organizations. Volunteers helped in the orphanages of Children’s Villages by preparing recreational activities for at-risk children. They also carried out fun activities with orphans and at-risk children with The Bucurestii noi Foundation.
With the Sisters of Charity, volunteers cared for people with neurological and motor disabilities. In the suburbs of Bucharest they also helped children and elderly people with psychiatric disabilities who were under the care of the Don Orione Foundation.
On top of that, volunteers helped to restore and clean the Catholic Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Bucharest.
Thank you to everyone who made this fulfilling experience possible—it was truly unforgettable!
